Biography – Michelle Costa
Michelle has experience working across a number of diverse settings, including public mental health, private practice, research and university settings, as well as developing mental health policy and guidance for mental health services in the UK.
She enjoys working with people of all different ages and backgrounds, using a holistic, person-centred approach to think about each individual’s needs, wants and preferences in life. Her therapy approach is based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, as well as using principles from Positive Psychology to help people identify and work towards their goals.
Michelle also has an interest in conducting cognitive and learning assessments with children, adolescents and adults, as she believes that helping people to better understand themselves and to find the answers to their questions can help them improve their quality of life.
