Biography – Jackie Yuen
Jackie has worked with individuals across the lifespan as a mental health professional and clinical psychologist in community mental health, disability, rehabilitation, and private practice. She has worked in both metropolitan and regional Queensland.
Jackie has keen interest in providing therapy from a holistic and down to earth approach. She is also passionate about supporting the well-being of the neurodiverse population. She also enjoys conducting assessments to support individual learning and future potential.
Jackie’s approach to therapy is informed by evidence-based treatments including Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). She also uses an integrated approach to meet clients’ needs drawing from schema, interpersonal psychotherapy, dialectical behavioural framework, and trauma informed approaches (Sensorimotor therapy, Cognitive Processing therapy).
