Biography – Michelle Hansen (Elle)
Elle enjoys working with people across the lifespan and has a strong interest in supporting young people. She strives to create a warm, supportive, and person-focused environment to allow for exploration and support of the person’s concerns. Elle has a particular interest in working with people to help manage anxiety and mood difficulties and to build self-esteem. She also enjoys supporting people with adjustment to life events, general stressors, and sleep difficulties.
Elle works from the perspective that therapy should be person-focused and strives to create a collaborative environment in which the person’s therapeutic goals are the focus. In her work Elle uses evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She also has a strong focus on providing people with education around mental health difficulties to facilitate understanding and normalise their difficulties.
Elle speaks Norwegian, and would be happy to utilise this in her practice.
