Biography – Holly Smallbone

Holly enjoys working with individuals of all ages and across a range of different backgrounds. Holly has a warm, empathic and non-judgmental therapeutic style and aims to build strong and trusting therapeutic relationships. She believes that a strong client-therapist relationship is key for therapeutic change. Holly uses a client-centred approach whereby each client is viewed as an active participant in the therapeutic process. As such, therapy goals and treatment plans are established collaboratively. Holly draws from evidence based interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). In addition to clinical work, Holly is currently working on her PhD, which focuses on the wellbeing of children of prisoners.
